
Yah Tongor Gbunblee - Candidate for National President
Yah Gbunblee Tongor is a dedicated community leader, healthcare professional, and advocate for education and development in Nimba County, Liberia. Born into a family of seven, she began her early education in Nimba County and graduated as salutatorian from Gbarnga United Methodist Mission School. She continued her studies at Cuttington University before earning a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services and Nursing from La Salle University in Philadelphia. She later obtained a Master’s degree in Public and Global Health from Liberty University and is currently completing her training as a Family Nurse Practitioner, further strengthening her expertise in healthcare and community wellness.
Mrs. Tongor has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to service both in Liberia and the diaspora. In 2011, she returned to Liberia to run for public office in District #8, reflecting her dedication to national development. She is the founder and Executive Director of the Kou Yorway Foundation, which provides scholarships, supports students in Nimba County and Monrovia, and organizes outreach programs for children. Through partnerships with faith-based organizations, she has also supported church development and is contributing to the construction of a school in Ganta, helping to nurture future leaders with strong moral and ethical values.
In the diaspora, Mrs. Tongor has played a key role in uniting Nimba County citizens in Ohio, helping to establish the Nimba County Educational and Cultural Association of Ohio and leading its merger with UNICCO in 2018. Her ongoing work with UNICCO includes advancing educational initiatives, strengthening community relationships in Liberia, and promoting collaboration across the diaspora. With her strong leadership experience, clear vision, and commitment to education, healthcare, transparency, and partnerships, she is well positioned to lead UNICCO and expand its impact both at home and abroad.

Parker S. D. Dahn - Candidate for Vice President
Mr. Parker S.D. Dahn is a candidate for Vice President of UNICCO. A visionary entrepreneur, community builder, and advocate for youth and women’s empowerment, Mr. Dahn’s life work reflects a deep commitment to service within both the Liberian diaspora and Nimba County. Born in Ganta, Liberia, his passion for uplifting others through education, economic opportunity, and social cohesion has guided his journey.
Mr. Dahn completed his early education between 1985 and 2000 before earning a degree in General Agriculture from the University of Liberia in 2008. After relocating to the United States, he further expanded his expertise by studying Industrial Welding at Lone Star College in Houston, Texas. As President and owner of Rhoda Transport LLC, he has successfully combined entrepreneurial vision with community impact, creating job opportunities specifically for Liberians, especially those with Nimba heritage and helping to strengthen economic stability among Liberian families in the diaspora.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Dahn has played a vital role in community development. He contributed to building the Liberian community organization in Houston and supported the growth of a local Liberian soccer team. As a former President of Coffee Family Club, he led impactful initiatives, including Christmas programs for children and social activities that foster unity among women. A strong believer in education as the foundation of national development, he actively funds scholarships for students of Nimba County heritage at the University of Liberia, ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent young scholars from reaching their full potential.

Lawrence Yeanay - Candidate for General Secretary
Lawrence Nyah Yeanay was born in Nengbehn Town, Bain Clan, Nimba County, to the late Madam Mary Kou Yeeyea Sayewhyee and Mr. John N. B. Yeanay. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Liberia in 2017.
From 2010 to 2019, he served as General Secretary of the Police Academy Old-field Community in Paynesville, Liberia. Mr. Yeanay has taught Biology and Chemistry at several institutions across Liberia, including Firestone Liberia Senior High School. He is also a civil rights activist and the CEO of the Relationship and Society Social Media Platform.
Lawrence is a devoted family man, married with seven children—three girls and four boys—and currently resides with his family in Waterloo, Iowa.
He is now a candidate for the position of General Secretary of UNICCO National.

Darlington W. Vangehn - Candidate for National Treasurer
My name is Darlington W. Vangehn, and I am a candidate for the position of National Treasurer for UNICCO. I hold a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Management, with an emphasis in Operations, along with an Advanced Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation in Global Health from the University of Washington, Department of Global Health, Seattle, Washington, USA.
My professional experience spans both conflict and post-conflict environments, where I have built strong competencies in program management, monitoring and evaluation, and organizational leadership. Throughout my career, I have served in key roles with reputable organizations, including Southeast Healthcare, Amazon Inc., the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), ARD–Tetra Tech, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Mercy Corps, and the International Rescue Committee (IRC). These experiences have equipped me with extensive expertise in program design, implementation, data management, and performance tracking.
I bring a high level of enthusiasm, integrity, and professionalism to every responsibility I undertake. As a long-time and active member of UNICCO, I am deeply committed to the growth and sustainability of our organization. I envision a stronger, more transparent, and forward-looking UNICCO that effectively serves its members.

Rev. Jackson Jaylah - Candidate for National Chaplain
My name is Rev. Jackson Jaylah, and I am honored to stand as a candidate for the position of National Chaplain of UNICCO. I proudly hail from Behwalay Town, Kparblee District, Tappita, Nimba County.
UNICCO is more than an organization—it is a vital bridge connecting our people in the diaspora with our brothers and sisters back home in Nimba County, Liberia. Its mission to promote unity, welfare, and development is one I deeply believe in and have committed my life to advancing.
I hold a Master of Arts degree in Ethics and Theology and a Bachelor of Science in Ethics. These academic experiences, along with my spiritual calling, have shaped my commitment to principled leadership, compassion, and service. Beyond academics, I serve as the leader of Care Mission International, where we work to build schools and orphanages for vulnerable children—demonstrating my enduring dedication to uplifting our people both at home and abroad.
As National Chaplain, I will work to strengthen the spiritual foundation of our union, promote unity across chapters in the diaspora, and help ensure that our collective efforts continue to positively impact lives in Nimba County. I am committed to fostering integrity, accountability, and a shared sense of purpose within UNICCO.
